What are you happiest doing when you're not working?

I enjoy reading The Bible and fellowship concerning God's Word the most. I also appreciate any time that I can spend with my family and friends. Times that I might spend alone could likely involve guitar building.

What is the most inspiring thing about your job?

To have the opportunity to impact the lives of others in a positive way, whether they be young team members or customers. It is also nice to have a higher level of autonomy and the space to drive my own success, and to create my own quality of life.

Describe your favorite day while working at Wendy's

Spending the day with my daughter (also a Wendy's employee); as she went to help me work a 12-hour shift at a location that was hit hard with turnover near the time of their high school prom. We both worked hard all day and had a great deal of fun with the crew there!

What are the best skills you bring to your job?

Bringing over 20 years of combined experience from both the hospitality and manufacturing industries. I see and separate needs on both sides of the business: the people and the production. I am very detail-oriented and analytical. The challenge is to consciously balance these traits by trying to find and/or approach everything from a “big picture” perspective first. The simple pleasure of teaching the talent is a definite strength that I have learned over the years. It's all about constant improvement--competing within my own team's accomplishments in many situations... don't look to the right, or the left, just keep your eye on the prize and press forward!
